On the eve of Thanksgiving, I know you’re amid special preparations for family and friends. Let me be brief and wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and recommend a newly-released heartwarming movie, Max Lucado’s The Christmas Candle, directed by John Stephenson.
The Christmas Candle: A Christian Review
Cast: Hans Matheson, Samantha Barks, and introducing Susan Boyle
In a charming English village, Gladbury, the townspeople waited for their new minister, David Richmond (Hans Matheson). It would be a timely arrival to carry out the legendary Christmas candle tradition. Every 25 years the candle recipient receives a miracle; however, the candle goes missing. Their progressive town minister finds other ways to bring miracles to Gladbury.
The movie depicts the spiritual struggles we face in life and redirects our focus to what’s important, compassion for others. David wasn’t perfect, but with God’s help, he and his congregation learn how to become someone’s miracle. (Click to Tweet)
If you enjoy inspiring movies, you’ll love this holiday film. This movie resembles a great Hallmark classic. My twenty-five-year-old daughter and I watched this movie together, and all I can say is both baby boomer and millennial shed a tear or two.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
