Proverbs 31:25 reads, “…She is clothed with strength and dignity.”
This scripture poetically condenses the portrayal of a praiseworthy woman.
The iconic passage found in Proverbs 31:10-31 has sometimes intimidated women with its exhaustive accomplishments.
The focus, however, is not in what she had fashioned with her hands, but in what God has fashioned in her heart.
…but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
New International Version, Proverbs 31:30
This woman, once clothed with the sackcloth of repentance, now walks in Godly wisdom. God knew life would not be easy for her, and yet, through His grace, she responds with supernatural obedience and reflects the radiance of God.
The heart of a Proverbs 31 woman is witnessed every day:
It’s a woman who intimately knows her Lord and earnestly pursues Him.
It’s a woman who knows she is “not enough” and depends on her Lord to supply her needs.
It’s a woman who is not afraid of tomorrow because her hope is in her Lord.
It’s a woman who shares her Lord’s passion for humanity.
This passage honors the lifestyle of a transformed heart that is clothed with Godly strength and dignity. A woman fashioned by God is not perfect but priceless.
Have a blessed weekend.
