People emotionally connect when they share their vulnerabilities and victories. These commonalities tear down the walls of division because we realize we’re human. For Christians, however, the conversation often includes our faith. But it’s not easy when there’s resistance. We can, however, plant seeds of faith.
In a public gathering, at a company lunchroom, or even with family members, sharing our faith begins with spiritual position. Our spiritual position influences our attitudes, our peace, and our patience. We position ourselves to witness with our compelling lifestyle. Sometimes, it doesn’t even require words. Here are a few tips that may help you share your faith with fewer words and more love.
5 WAYS TO PLANT SEEDS OF FAITH
- Reflect on your motives
- Remember you are a recipient of grace
- Resist the temptation to talk — Listen, listen, listen
- Relinquish the need to be right
- Respond with love
When we have an opportunity to speak God’s truth, we need to guard against becoming the all-knowing crackerjack. The only “crackerjacks” we need are those carmel-coated popcorn treats. Share your faith as a recipient of grace and a fellow spiritual pilgrim.
God will use you in extraordinary ways by simply being real when you demonstrate or share your faith. Like any seed, our seed of faith takes time to germinate, but God is a faithful gardener.
Thank you for keeping your faith real and sharing Christ’s love with those around you. We can make a difference through Jesus Christ.
Have a blessed weekend.
